Fashion can be generally described as the current style or trend of clothing, footwear or accessory that the public tries to imitate and incorporate. In society it can denote the type of clothing or fabric to be worn during a particular period that was influenced by a popular or well-respected icon.

The most popular fashion trend started remarkably during the 1960s. It was during this period that the new fashion uproar broke the traditional fashion trends, reflecting the social movements that started to occur. It was Mary Quant, a Welsh fashion designer, who popularized the mini skirt and the creation of colored and patterned tights. It captured the youth market, wearing the mini skirt 6 to 7 inches above the knee. The tights liberated women from wearing girdles, roll-ons, and suspender belts. Capri trousers were popular among women and young girls. Popular figures such as Jacqueline Kennedy popularized wearing pastel colored Chanel suits and pillbox hats. In the mid-60s, capris were replaced by bell-bottoms, paired with chiffon blouses, midriff tops, or polo-necked ribbed sweaters.

Hairstyle of the 60’s is short and clean, with the five point cut being the trend. For the footwear, flat boots became popular together with short dresses and running shoes. These boots rose to the leg and then eventually it reached knee length. Dr. Scholl clog sandals were worn outdoors and even at the office. Women were inspired by top models Twiggy, Collen Corby, and Veruschka to name a few. Make up consists of false lashes and pale lipsticks. While hemlines kept rising, it was in 1968 that it reached mid-thigh and was named to be the “micro-mini” you certainly needed a good figure to wear one so the diet solution program was a must. Daytime wear comprised of wearing short plastic raincoats like Chicago immigration attorneys wear, colorful swing coats and dyed faked-furs. In the late 60’s aside from wearing bell-bottoms with slash prices, women wore tie dyed shirts, workshirts and headbands. It was the hippie look, not concerned about the truth about abs, that was patronized by the younger generation who did not want to buy stocks. Some women even go out barefoot and bra-less which was dr who character building. Popular fashion trends also include wearing bangles which could lead you to a bankruptcy attorney, Mexican peasant blouses, breitling watches, scarves, and gypsy styled skirts. Skinny jeans, worn by Audrey Hepburn, also became the trademark of the 1960s fashion. The Beatles influenced the male youth from their fashion to their hairstyle. They wore elastic-sided boots with pointed toes and Cuban heels that was widely accepted by the young men in Britain. The 60’s was a period of sexual liberation, freedom, lake district peace and love as symbolized by peace signs, medallion necklaces, and chain belts.

The 70’s fashion symbolizes wild outrageous stuff. The bell-bottoms that were from the 1960’s became the rage until 1975. Add that with some flowers and ornaments on their jeans and you get a picture of the 70’s. In fact, no store even sold any stone washed jeans. Platform shoes were the “in” thing for both men and women and it had soles two to four inches thick. The film “Saturday Night Fever” starring John Travolta had the popular “disco look” not popular with Chicago dui attorney though where it had three piece suits for men, and jersey wrap dresses for women who did not have to worry about cell phone accessories back then. It reflected what the fashion was in the 70’s. “Midis” or mid-calf length dresses and “Maxis” or ankle-length dresses took over in the early 70’s, aside from the popular mini skirt of the 60’s. The birth of “Hot pants” in 1971 became a fashion craze for both men and women a bit like discount new cars, showing more leg and cheek. However, it was frowned upon by patrons and in many social places. Fitted blazers also took its place in the 70’s fashion before Siemens appliances where invented, flaring slightly at the hip with buttons covered and lapels wide. These were made with wool, hcg drops velvet, suede, and leather as seen on lego pirates of the Caribbean sets. In the mid-70’s “Loon pants”, which were high-waisted jeans and wide, flared legs also became the craze, bit like mobile phone accessories now, but was later replaced by straight-cigarette legged jeans which are great with princess cut engagement rings. Beaded belts, long hairstyles from the Beatles seen at wedding photographers in London, long sideburns from wannabe hippies, frilly collars and paisley shirts, afro hairstyles, these are a few of the trademark in the 70’s fashion they certainly were not interested in carpet cleaning or instant payday loans. Men grew long beards and moustache, long, wide and untrimmed. Women burnt their bras went to find ancestors and went out without it. Hairstyles for women include the wavy “gypsy” cut, layered life cover shag, and “flicked” style, popularized by the hit TV series Charlie’s Angels. Every different type of glasses can be seen in the 70’s from big frames, round frames, square ppi frames, and wire rim frames, almost anything you can ever think of and not too expensive so payday advance was not an issue. Denim skirts from send load to Philippines and wrinkled look became an influence for young women even influenced wedding photographers in Kent. Blouses with laces and off-shouldered necklines were popularized by Yves St Laurent. Zippered jumpsuits, tube tops, skin-tight Spandex trousers, slit skirts, spaghetti strap tops, shirt waist dresses were influenced by modern dance and carpet cleaning London club. The ppi claims sex symbol during the 70’s was Farrah Fawcett, a popular actress in “Charlie’s Angels” and she had a boss who suffered from hair loss treatment for men which was not a good look in the 60′s plus he needed the best wrinkle creams. Her one-piece fitted wardrobes London swimsuit influenced a lot of women to wear he sexy tight swimsuit with deep neckline and high cut legs as an alternative to the bikini. However, the brief decline of discos and the movie “Saturday Night Fever” in the late 70’s mirrored people’s fashions and slowly killed the fashion style of the 70’s.

If 1970’s fashion comprised of wearing fit clothes on top and wider clothes on the bottom, the 80’s characterized the opposite. Men and women wore loose shirts and tight fitting bottoms even when they were going for life insurance quotes. To symbolize status and wealth plus big men wore power suits and had a mustache. They sported medium length hair, and then came back to very long hair in the late 80’s due to the influence of ancestor Heavy metal music, but those guys now need the best wrinkle cream, not that those rockers care. Household names such as Ralph Lauren – who helped with car insurance quotes online – and Calvin Klein became the iconic coupons mark of scales fashion. In mid-1980’s Madonna’s fashion, influenced a lot of women in their style of used macbook style clothing. Her “street-urchin” look characterized wearing short skirts over leggings, untidy hair, fishnet gloves, and crucifix jewelry. Meanwhile, Michael Jackson’s Thriller look influenced teenagers to wear matching red and black leather pants and jacket, a glove, fat burning furnace body, sunglass, and curls. All kinds of kefir grains leather jackets became popular from Michael Jackson’s Thriller look thanks to weight loss dieting, to oversized, slouch-shouldered faded leather jackets with puffy sleeves, and plain brown sql performance tuning aviator jackets from World War II fighter pilot jackets. Tracksuits which are favored by contractor accountants or sweat pants also gained popularity as did scholarships for women, as it was intended for comfort and athletic purpose due to its soft fabric and did not need payday loans online. Doc Martens shoes was also gaining popularity as an established shoe brand worn by both men and women. This was an important aspect of fashion for skinhead and punk cultures in the United Kingdom that go well with the Gothic look and it was cheap so no payday loan requires or a Milwaukee bankruptcy. Gothic bad credit car loans look can be featured as long, back-combed hair, pale skin and dark make up, black nail polish – not good as a 20th anniversary gifts – and spiked accessories made of leather or fishnet. Throughout the 80’s panic away fashion was also influenced by wicker furniture music rock bands such as Guns N’ Roses, and the Sex Pistols. Ripped skinny jeans, multi-colored mohawks, and “pin shirts” made with pieces of fabric pinned on one side with safety pins increasingly took over the youth’s fashion. However, it has been thought that this punk alarm monitoring fashion style were rebels whose intention was to create chaos not interested in file cabinets or christening plates, shock and distraction. Designer sneaker shoes such as Converse, Nike, and Adidas became popular and were a high-priced fashion item. The “Preppy” look also took a turn as a classic and conservative style of office chairs fashion with leading brands from Polo Ralph Lauren, Gap, and Lacoste. An example for this style is a button-down shirt, cuffed khakis, and loafers, even sweaters tied loosely around the shoulders. Think of pastel polo shirts with designer logos that reflects the preppy debt management office look. Smoking also became the hight of fashion and this was before electronic cigarettes. Another fashion trend in the 80’s were leggings paired with oversized sweaters and tee shirts perfect for a extended hotel stay. From soccer shorts, shortalls, champion sweatshirts, to leotards and body suits, teenagers wore all of these as part of their casual wear inspired by extended stay motels. Opaque thighs were worn on baby doll dresses and dress shorts, with matching white slouch socks and white sneakers although you may need to consolidate debt. Funky hairstyles of the 80’s were big, frizzy, and full of mousse. Funky side ponytails were also the “in” thing for women. Males had either a rat or a duck tail sprouting on the bottom end of their hair a bit like an electronic cigarette. For 80’s accessories, bangles made with thin metal or jellies were worn on the wrist even at the car insurance quotes office. Women of high position and wealth wore big diamonds and pearls, as personified by Princess Diana. Happy pants were worn by young teenagers, characterized by basic shorts that is neither fit nor too loose and was made with different bright colored patterns. Parachute pants also took its stand in this period especially if you needed acne treatment, known as the extreme baggy cut pants made of nylon paid for with a prepaid credit card. It was typically an accident claims menswear that was brightly colored and used for hip hop dancing. Soap opera “Dynasty” had a major influence on what the car insurance generation wore during the 80’s and where they got medical insurance california. The outrageous stretch mark cream fashion in the 80’s reflected the generation’s creativity and identity funded by saving from cheap car insurance. The 90’s fashion portrayed the “anything goes” krill oil casual style comprised of plain shirt and blue jeans. The grungy colored contacts fashion look was inspired by the group Nirvana, and it became quite popular as boyish flannel shirts and ripped jeans took stage not good if you work at medical insurance Florida. Overalls from the Fugees also became a hit for everyone. Blossom hats, stirrup pants, baggy clothes with neon colors, acid wash jeans, oversized t-shirts with tee clips, and layered slouch socks took a hit to the younger generation. Not to mention Scrunchies for the hair and colorful snap bracelets for the kids. Popular celebrities and music icons influenced fashion trends, such as MC Hammer pants, cute baby floral dresses and chunky heels from Clueless, and the pixie cut from the TV show Friends. High waisted jeans were also worn by celebrities Brittany Daniel and Sarah Michelle Gellar, while combat boots and boxer shorts (though not really worn together) were popularized by the British band Take That. Fanny packs also known as belt bags took a major hit among youngsters. In the mid-90’s long hair were popular, as well as flat tops. Catsuits made of latex and spandex were worn with high-heeled boots, while baseball jackets were worn by hip-hop fans. Shoes with heavy thick heels were also popular in the mid 90’s as well as Birckenstock sandals. Baywatch and Beverly Hills influenced majority of the youth. Most kids would wear a combination of black, white, and khaki. Bandanas and pocket chains were also popular from rock bands. Puff Daddy wore starter jackets, while Gwen Stefani wore bindis and crazy hair colors. In 1998, the use of chokers was worn by actress Kate Winslet. Tommy Hilfiger also became well-known in the fashion industry. Straw hats, scoop neck dresses, and beanie caps also became the trend. Midriff tops and belly button piercings reflected a Gothic sense of style. However, men’s hair became shorter, as well as side parting and head shaving. The fashion style during the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s remarkably harvested different reactions from all over the world. From various influences in movies, celebrities, and music, the fashion trends were something to forget while some fashion styles were still carried on up to this day.

Being fashionable brings out the best in each and every one of us. It reflects our personality, style, and fashion sense. However, being fashionable also means being able to shop wisely for the clothes you need and want. For you to be successful in the world of fashion, you also need to shop wisely for what suits you well. Make sure it does not end up as a clutter inside your dresser, or just a waste of money due to the sudden impulse of buying.

So here are some tips and guidelines to follow for your shopping spree:

When you shop for clothes, buy clothes that you will need at present. Buying something that you will be using a few months from now is a big mistake, because you may not have the same size as what you were a few months back even if it was just a few inches of addition to your waistline.

Do not be a fashion victim. If you see someone posing a new sense of fashion on television and copy it, you may be a victim of buying a new pair of tops and bottoms, only to find out that they are going to be outdated after a month. Instead, have a sense of your own fashion. Find out what colors suit you, what type of fabric enhances your asset and figure. You can buy various clothes and then mix and match whatever you have to come up with different fashion personality. You can wear the clothes that you love over and over, unlike buying something to imitate someone and just wear it once or twice in your life.

Having a good push-up bra goes well on any clothes you wear. A higher and fuller bust makes any clothes look good, and it makes you look slimmer as well. Try experimenting on wearing different types of bra that will complement various dresses that you may have.

Invest in a good pair of jeans. High quality jeans that are comfortable can be worn on any occasion, from casual dates to an informal party. Choose jeans that have different shades of color from dark to mid and light tones. This will match well on any tops you have. When you shop for jeans, make sure it has a bit of allowance on the waistline.

Shop for pumps that can be used for informal and semi-formal occasions. Black ones go well on any type of colored tops and dress. Make sure that when you wear it, it is comfortable and won’t give you any blisters in the long run. Quality and comfort goes first before any design.

Last but not the least, try shopping on clothe sales and find the best bargains. Discounts save you a huge amount of money good enough for buying an extra accessory that will go well with your attire. Always remember, being fashionable calls you to let your creativity and personality reflect you, at the same time it tests your shopping skills to its utmost.

Women have different body types and curves to flaunt or hide. In today’s fashion world, going to a department store and looking at the window store may either leave a woman feeling depressed or excited. Excited because of seeing the right dress she had been looking for, and sad for those who may not have the budget and figure for wearing that dress.

Looking good may be a concern for some women who may not have the perfect figure they need to wear the right dress. However, it does not mean that you will deprive yourself from wearing trendy clothes in today’s fashion. You may be too skinny, or on the heavy side, but regardless of what your size is, knowing the proper dress for you to enhance your features will leave you feeling confident and happy.

Here is a rundown of the most basic figure a woman has and the appropriate dress for it.

If you are lucky enough to have an hour-glass figure, you can basically wear anything to flaunt your curves. Women who have this figure generally have small waists and this can be emphasized by wearing belts and waist-cinching dresses. Fit clothes work best with hour glass figures.

An oval shaped figure is also known as the “apple” shape. If you are on the heavy side, wearing black clothes make you look slimmer. Wear tops that are vertical and not horizontal to create the illusion of being slimmer. If you have wide hips and narrow shoulders, wearing dark colored bottoms help in covering your hips. Do not wear fit clothes, sleeveless or tube tops. V-neck tops also help bring attention to your face. Choose dresses which have a flowing waistline.

Inverted triangles are those heavier on the top than the bottom. Buy tops with sleeves and three-fourths to balance the shape of your body. Light colored bottoms are good for this figure. Do not put too much emphasis on your upper body. Avoid big collars and heavy necklines.

If you are too skinny or have the rectangle figure, you need to create an illusion of curves. Flowing waistline skirts and floral tops help create the illusion of being on the healthier side. Define your shoulders and waist by wearing A-line shirts. Bottoms should be straight leg or slightly flared. Do not wear too fit clothes or too loose or baggy clothes.

Whatever shape you may be in, experimenting with different fashion designs and colors will enhance your assets, and not make yourself a walking disaster. In every woman lies a beauty to be discovered, and it just needs a little of knowledge on how to bring out the best in them by having a sense of fashion style.
